Created by an all-female team, the newly unveiled drink is a handcrafted, straight bourbon matured in traditional American white oak barrels that was crafted at “a distillery located in the legendary ‘Crossroads for the Future’ region in Statesville, North Carolina, widely known for their production of high-quality whiskeys since before prohibition.”
With a custom wheated, hand-crafted mash bill containing corn, wheat, and malted barley, the bottling has what’s described by the brand as a complex taste profile and aroma of creamy vanilla and warm spices with no added colors, preservatives, rye, sugar or gluten.
Packaged in a 750mL container reminiscent of an antique perfume bottle with white etching and a crystal topper, Lynxx Bourbon is 80 proof and said to be best served straight up or on the rocks with the option of enjoying it as mixed cocktail.
“My mission has always been to thoughtfully build businesses and products that support women,” Founder of Lynxx Spirits Rachel Svoboda said in a prepared statement. “After twenty years of working in advertising to build businesses for other people, I decided it was time to create my own product. Lynxx Spirits was born from my desire to create a custom empowering product that makes a statement.”
Svoboda started the company with the idea of empowering other women and knocking out the stereotype that women only drink vodka, wine and fruity cocktails. With the research to show just how much females have enjoyed bourbon, scotch and whiskey for centuries, the company has created what it feels is a one-of-a-kind spirit made for women by women focused on quality, innovation and elegance.
Whiskey lovers are able to join the company’s “Owner’s Club” and enjoy free shipping, regular email updates and assistance coordinating special events, as well as a 10% off discount with a minimum spend of $199. Lynxx Bourbon is currently distributed within California and on the company’s website for $79.99.
