New Handcrafted Pappy Van Winkle Gift Set Ultimate Bourbon Lover’s Dream

My, oh my – it looks as if the fourth generation Van Winkles, as in the Pappy Van Winkle bourbon clan, are getting in on the family act of producing highly sought after whiskey related materials tied to the family name. Their venture, Pappy & Company, has just debuted a limited edition Pappy Van Winkle Signature Gift Set pricing for $825 that will likely sell out very quickly.

Limited to 250 in production volume, this special release is not Van Winkle bourbon, but rather high quality accessories that might go alongside that special bottle of whiskey you’ve been waiting to open. Handcrafted by an outfit known as Heritage Handcrafted from reclaimed Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrel wood, these unique boxes are adorned with a Van Winkle bronze logo and “touches of handcrafted iron.”

What is with these boxes you might wonder? One gets a crystal decanter and two special crystal glasses hand-blown from Scotland, an authentication letter from one of the Van Winkles and a special  “cigar (humidor) insert lined with ¼ Spanish cedar” housing four Pappy cigars made by a cigar company from Nicaragua.

The sets, which are made in lots of 25 until they are all gone, ship a couple of weeks after the order. Sadly, no Van Winkle bourbon is included, but if you have the money to drop on one of these, you likely have a few bottles of this elusive whiskey stashed anyhow.
