Log Still Releasing New Monk’s Road Wheated Bourbon

Kentucky’s Log Still Distillery just introduced a new wheated bourbon to their Monk’s Road product line.

Their is aged four years, and clocks in at 94 proof. A statement from Log Still notes that this expression is intended to appeal to all whiskey drinkers and will have a suggested retail price of $42.99 at retail locations in several states where it’s distributed.

Monk’s Road uses wheat as the predominant secondary grain, which helps provide balance. The distiller’s notes show aromas of vanilla and cinnamon spice married with dried cherry on the palate.

Wally Dant, Log Still’s founder, said this new offering is soft on the palate and provides a smooth finish, the kind mash bills are known for. “This is going to be a great sipper for the colder months,” he added.

Recently, Log Still Distillery brought bourbon back to Gethsemane, Kentucky, guided by Wally Dant and cousins Lynne and Charles Dant. It was re-built on old family distillery land and reimagined to create a bourbon and family destination.

Featured products include Monk’s Road line of Kentucky bourbons and gins and Rattle & Snap line of Tennessee whiskeys. Monk’s Road Wheated Bourbon will be available in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and Mississippi.
