Heaven Hill’s Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond Decanter Appears Again For Spring 2021

Heaven Hill recently announced the debut of its most recent Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond offering, this one being the Spring 2021 edition. It is the seventh national release of this particular premium bourbon expression.

The new Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (Spring 2021), according to those behind it, is an eight year old offering that is the first age statement of this time frame to be made available in this series. It features bourbon pulled from three different rickhouses, on different floors, and two different production dates. It specifically is comprised of barrels produced in spring of 2013, and bottled in spring of 2021.

As with previous releases this particular whiskey is bottled in an ornate decanter, with the spring edition having a green label that is consistent across all spring releases. Its tax strip, which has always been a signature of transparency on bottled-in-bond products, will disclose when the liquid was produced and bottled.

Plans call for the bourbon to be made available as a premium, allocated 750 ml expression, pricing around $85. In fitting the requirements of bottled-in-bond it heralds from a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof or 50% alcohol by volume.

Heaven Hill Distillery, for those unfamiliar with it, was founded in Kentucky by the Shapira family in 1935. Today, it maintains over 1.8 million barrels aging in 63 warehouses throughout Nelson and Jefferson Counties. It is home to an award-winning collection of American whiskeys including Elijah Craig Bourbon, Larceny Bourbon, Evan Williams Bourbon, Pikesville Rye Whiskey, Rittenhouse Rye Whisky and Parker’s Heritage Collection.
