You’ve got to “hand” it to one American whiskey brand, they know how to do a job search.
New York-based spirit Fistful of Bourbon announced its “Search for the $100,000 Fist,” a nationwide casting call to find its first-ever “Spokesfist.”
The end result of the search will see one person’s hand earn a $100,000 contract to appear in future Fistful of Bourbon ad campaigns. If you’ve got what it takes, Fistful of Bourbon will accept applications for the job on its website, spokesfist.com, and they’re even listing the job on job sites such as Indeed until April 13th.
“Here at Fistful of Bourbon, we’re looking for a new leading star, someone that can truly wow us with their panache,” said Anthony Bohlinger, U.S. National Brand Ambassador at Fistful of Bourbon, in a prepared statement. “Fistful is a blend of five straight American bourbons – literally a fistful – that together delivers the best bourbon has to offer and so, it’s only natural we want to find the best fist around these parts to be our Spokesfist.”
Harkening days of Hollywood lore, makers of Fistful of Bourbon celebrate classic Hollywood cinema, especially films of the Old West. The name comes from the fact that the whiskey is made of five straight bourbons … a fistful. It is the creation of Scottish family distiller William Grant & Sons’ Master Blender Brian Kinsman (2017 ISC Master Distiller of the Year) and Whisk(e)y Blender Kelsey McKechnie.
The whiskey is said to have five distinct flavors: balanced and sweet, green, leafy floral notes, soft spices and hints of nutmeg, buttery toffee, cinnamon and licorice. Fistful launched in Texas in 2018 and is now available nationally. It’s blended and bottled at 45% ABV with an SRP of $24.99 for 750ml.
So soon, one person’s fist, and only their fist, will star in Fistful of Bourbon’s future campaigns in print, video, across social media and more. Officials with Fistful said the Spokesfist will also receive a custom-designed bottle featuring their fist, earn A-list celeb benefits and score a $100,000 for the leading role.
