Fight Hunger and Enjoy Bourbon with Maker’s Mark’s #ShareDelicious Tour

For many of us, the holidays are a time of abundance: enjoying the company of friends and family, cooking celebratory meals, and enjoying great whiskey. But the holidays are also the perfect time to give back, to share our abundance with others. And this year, Maker’s Mark is making it possible to give back and support a great cause, all while enjoying great bourbon – what’s not to love?

Since late November, Maker’s Mark has been on the road visiting cities in the eastern half of the United States on their #ShareDelicious tour, a kind of roving, boozy bake sale that brings you treats from Butter & Scotch Bakery in exchange for donations to Share our Strength, a national organization dedicated to fighting childhood hunger. Based in Brooklyn, the hugely popular Butter & Scotch Bakery hit on the genius combination of serving cocktails, desserts, and brunch all at one location, hitting every hipster button in a single, masterful stroke.

So far, they’ve already hit Philadelphia, Louisville, Cincinnati, and Columbus, but if you live in Chicago or New York, you can still catch them. Here’s the calendar:

New York

  • December 14th, 5-8 PM, Phillipe Liquors

Chicago

  • December 18th, 11AM-3PM, Pioneer Court
  • December 19th, 11AM-3PM, Millennium Park
  • December 20th, 11AM-3PM, Merchandise Mart
  • December 20th, 5PM-9PM, Garfield’s

Maker’s Mark is also holding a series of holiday dinners, also benefitting Share our Strength, and there are still a couple of those left: one tonight in Seattle at Pearl, and one on December 21st in Washington, D.C., at Beuchart’s Saloon. Dinner tickets are $100, and 100% of all ticket sales go to Share our Strength.

And if you can’t catch any of those events, you can still contribute via text donation (instructions here) from the comfort of your own home. Then, sit back, relax, and pour yourself a glass of bourbon—you’ve earned it!
