Chattanooga Whiskey Set To Release New Single Barrel Program For 2022

Chattanooga Whiskey recently introduced their 2022 Distiller’s Selection Single Barrel program, and the single barrel picks will be distributed as a mix-pack of four different high malt bourbon recipes.

“Since the inception of the Experimental Distillery in 2015, our team of distillers has crafted hundreds of unique bourbons, whiskeys and spirits,” said Head Distiller Grant McCracken in a prepared statement. “This mix pack highlights some of our favorite bourbon mash bills, selected and scaled from our Experimental facility to our Riverfront Distillery beginning in 2017. As a collection, this family of recipes showcases our innovative history and the dynamic range inherent to our Tennessee High Malt style.”

Along with their signature “Barrel 91” recipe, the Chattanooga Whiskey distilling team scaled up a number of Tennessee High Malt recipes originating from their Experimental Single Batch Series.

Each of the four bourbon mash bills, known as “SB091,” “wheated,” “roasted,” and “peated,” contain a variety of specialty malts, each imparting unique aromas and flavors to the whiskey.

Every mix pack contains at least one bottle of each mash bill. CEO and Founder Tim Piersant said this new variety pack offering is a shift in the distillery’s approach to their single barrel program, since previous year’s collections have only been available as full-barrel private picks, purchased by select retail accounts.

“While buying an entire Chattanooga Whiskey Single Barrel will not be an option in 2022, this single barrel mix pack will be more widely available in the marketplace than in years past,” Piersant said. “More importantly, though, it demonstrates our distillers’ innovative spirit, to push the limits and change the rules of great bourbon and whiskey.”

Aged for more than four years, Chattanooga Whiskey Single Barrels are bottled uncut at barrel strength. A 750ml bottle comes with a suggested retail price of $59.99.

Chattanooga Whiskey got its start in 2011, and the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery now hosts more than 40,000 visitors a year. The Riverfront Distillery is the production home to Chattanooga Whiskey’s signature expressions, Chattanooga Whiskey 91, Cask 111, 99 Rye, and their Bottled in Bond Vintage Series.
