Buffalo Wild Wings Expands Release of Buffalo Trace Single Barrel To 16 States

Buffalo Wild Wings recently announced its hand picked Buffalo Trace Single Barrel Select Bourbon offering will be served at its locations in sixteen states across the country.

As of May 2021, Buffalo Trace Single Barrel Select Bourbon is available at Buffalo Wild Wings sports bars in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Nevada, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

Last year, Buffalo Wild Wings, the largest sports bar brand in the United States, initially had released a limited amount of hand-picked Single Barrel Select Bourbon at locations in Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Nevada and California.

“Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley personally selected each barrel from the Single Barrel Select series,” said David McPhillips, Director of Beverage Strategy & Innovation for Buffalo Wild Wings, in a prepared statement. “This bourbon is perfect for fans to drink while watching the game. And it can be enjoyed on an ice block, neat or mixed into an Old Fashioned or one of our classic cocktails.”

The Single Barrel Select Bourbon, according to information from the brand, has notes of caramel, dark fruit, and a hint of black cherry with an oaky sweet flavor and smooth finish. The bourbon has rich and smoky flavors that are said to complement the barbecue wing sauces and the new brisket platform that features savory entrees such as the Smoked Brisket Burger and Smoked Brisket Sandwich.

The eight-year aged bourbon joins the assortment of craft beer and spirits at Buffalo Wild Wings.

“By including Single Barrel Select Bourbon in our beverage program, we’re holding ourselves to a high standard as a sports bar,” McPhillips said. “We’re showing guests that we’re trying to be a bit different and they can expect us to keep innovating across our menu.

The potential impacts of cask investment fraud on the scotch whisky industry was discussed in the Scottish Parliament in April 2024, hopefully paving the way for more regulation within the industry.
