Assassin’s Creed is a popular video game franchise produced by Ubisoft that’s going on 15 years now of being in development. To celebrate this, the video game company has teamed with a licensing, bottling, and distribution company to release an official bourbon.
The new Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 15th Anniversary Straight Bourbon Whisky, according to those behind it, has been brought to market by Antheum Studios. This outlet, said to work with “some of the most popular properties in film, television, sports and gaming,” is “passionate about collectible spirits and driven to launch unique, hand-crafted bottles that fans will love.”
Specifics of the bourbon, produced in partnership with the Tennessee Legend distillery, note it is “crafted in the hill country of Texas and finished in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.” A four year old straight bourbon whiskey, it is bottled at 90 proof and has official tasting notes of “rye spice, wheat character, and hints of cherry, vanilla and oak.”
“From classic film franchises to modern television hits, we pride ourselves on creating bottles that capture the essence of the brands we work with,” said Paul Francis, one of the founders of Antheum Studios, in a prepared statement.
Francis has been working in the film and collectibles industries for over two decades, starting as a career model maker in the film industry, working on movies such as Bicentennial Man and the hit TV series Ancient Aliens. More recently, he has worked with Universal theme parks and Disney to create unique products for their gift shops.
