10253903_10152018661351825_2522444088895637818_nThe Copper Run Distillery in Missouri’s Ozark Mountains is celebrating springtime with the recent release of a young wheat whiskey created in partnership with a local brewery. Known as Hopped Wheat Whiskey, only 700 bottles have been produced.

Copper Run Hopped Wheat Whiskey is a double distillation of Mothers Brewery Hopped Up Wheat beer that was processed in the distillery’s direct fire copper pot still. It was then aged for two years in new “deep char” Missouri oak barrels before being bottled.

Tasting notes from the distillery for this unique golden straw colored whiskey are below. If you are interested in a bottle you can buy one directly from them before they run out for $42.
