MGP Expands Rossville Union Whiskey To Include Barrel Picks

MGP out of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, has a number of proprietary whiskey brands under its belt, including Rossville Union. This label, having been around for a little over a year now, has apparently being doing well enough that MGP is now expanding it to include a barrel pick program.

What will be known as Rossville Union Barrel Select, according to those behind it, is a new program that allows retail customers to choose a custom flavor profile and packaging, complete with individually numbered bottles and personalized labels. Participating accounts meet with the distillery team in Lawrenceburg to taste, select and order a specialty blend of barrel reserves.

“Rossville Union Barrel Select combines two of our greatest strengths: first, our longstanding history of making great ryes in historic Lawrenceburg, and second, our exceptional blending expertise,” said Andrew Mansinne, Vice President of Brands, MGP, in a prepared statement. “Rossville Union Barrel Select allows us to offer a one-of-a-kind solution for accounts to select the perfect mingling and custom bottling for their customers.

“We’re thrilled that this new program coincides with the first anniversary of Rossville Union, and caps a year that has exceeded our expectations for Rossville Union.”

As it stands now plans call for the Rossville Union Barrel Select program to debut this fall 2019. Prices were not made available for barrels, and the whiskey will be bottled at a standard 100 proof.
