Early Times Kentucky Whisky Seeks Dogs For Its 2020 Hometown Advertising Campaign

Do you have a dog you feel would look great serving as an advertising vehicle for an American whiskey? If the answer is yes, Early Times Kentucky Whisky has just the contest for you, as the brand is seeking a handful of America’s finest pooches to be the faces of an “All-American” hometown advertising campaign.

Early Times Kentucky Whisky has announced, according to those behind it, a nationwide search for “All-American Dogs” to serve as “the furry faces of its 2020 hometown advertising campaign with a national social media contest.”  This is the second year of the popular contest that is said “gives pet owners a chance to brag on their favorite member of the family.”  Last year, the brand had over 10,000 entries.

“Since 1860, Early Times has been America’s reliable, quality whisky,” said Early Times Senior Brand Manager Dallas Cheatham in a prepared statement. “When we started talking about what being ‘All-American’ means, we immediately thought of the loyalty and dependability that dogs bring to our own lives. It felt natural to connect with our Early Times drinkers by celebrating their amazing dogs. When we sifted through entries last year, there were a lot of heartfelt stories of man (and woman’s) best friend.

“It was amazing to hear about people saving dogs from dire situations- but equally awesome to hear about dogs saving their owners, both physically and emotionally.  What an awesome thing that we ate Early Times get to celebrate that bond!”

The way the contest works is this – fans 21 and over are invited to share “a photo of their hound hero and explain why their pup embodies dependability and the ‘All-American’ spirit.'” Early Times will select 10 dogs to be individually featured in a local hometown advertisement, in addition to receiving a custom Early Times whisky barrel dog house and inclusion in the brand’s 2021 All-American Dog Calendar.

Now through April 12th, consumers can enter for the chance to win by visiting the Early Times Facebook page and sharing their submission on the designated contest post calling for entries. Official contest rules can be found here.
