Barrell Craft Spirits Launches Gray Label Dovetail Limited Cask Strength

Barrell Craft Spirits recently launched its limited edition BCS Gray Label Dovetail, which features a blend of American whiskey finished in rum, port and Dunn Vineyards Cabernet barrels.

The limited expression uses the same finishing and blending method used to make Barrell Dovetail, with the difference being the Gray Label offerings use older and more rare barrels, aged up to 20 years, to create the blend.

“Barrell Dovetail quickly became an industry and fan favorite within our portfolio,” said BCS Founder Joe Beatrice, in a prepared statement. “BCS Gray Label Dovetail provided us with the opportunity to showcase this unique flavor profile with an elegant new depth. Innovation is the lifeblood of our company and we’re proud to push the boundaries of blending each day.”

Barrel Craft Spirits was founded in 2013 in Louisville, Kentucky, and the brand’s ethos is to select and blend products that explore different distillation methods, barrels and aging environments, and bottles them at cask strength.

BCS’s stocks of what’s described as high-quality casks mean they can craft blends that maximize the nuances of each ingredient.

This new BCS Gray Label Dovetail was distilled in Indiana, Tennessee, and Canada, and was bottled at 131.54 proof (65.77% ABV). It’s now available at select retailers nationwide and online at www.barrellbourbon.com. The whiskey has a suggested retail price of $249.99 for a 750mL bottle.
