Tasting Notes:

About:
A blended scotch combining grain and malt whiskies from across the Highlands region, matured in American white oak barrels.
Appearance:
Pale honey
Nose:
Buttery and pillowy. Whipped vanilla cream inside a millefeuille with glazed sliced apple. Oat flour and Crunch Cream biscuits. Pear juice, heather honey on fresh brown bread, creamy hazelnuts, and apricot. A hint of wax crayon and an early touch of astringency that fades.
Palate:
More mouthcoating than expected. Oatcakes and English muffins. Hints of ground ginger. The honey turns to golden syrup with demerara sugar and hints of milk chocolate-coated toffees. Apricot jam, baked red apple, and pear drops.
Finish:
It lingers long with notes of floury cake batter, golden syrup and apple peel.
Comments:
This has a lovely weight and oiliness, with the malt and grain notes playing together harmoniously. It has retained a delicious sweetness through its aging.
