About:

A blended Scotch whisky offering finished for a period in Japanese Mizunara oak casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, it is priced at $149.99.
Appearance:
A lovely lighter golden amber appears in the glass, bringing sturdy legs and excellent viscosity.
Nose:
The aromatics of this reflect a very gentle tone upon first smell, conveying tropical fruit notes such as banana. Further exploration showcases candied ginger, luscious nutmeg, some oats, and a bit of green apple.
Palate:
This sure does drink nicely and, to borrow a word from the brand, very smoothly—almost too smoothly. There’s a strong ginger here; playing with it are considerations of coconut, dried figs, sharp green apple, a hint of coriander spice, an oak nod, and some pears.
Finish:
This glides easily into the finish, giving an excellent mouthfeel and sweetness as it exits into the back throat. Its hold is long and subtle, leaving you wanting more.
Comments:
You’re gonna want find a bottle of this one if you can – it is really quite the nice sipper from start to finish and not something you want to rush through. The Mizunara finish, in particular, gives it something extra special above your typical Dewar’s expression.
