Tasting Notes

About:

Aged 10 years and 9 months; bottled at 119 proof; priced at $74.99.
Appearance:
There is nothing out of the ordinary about looking at this in glass, as it showcases the solid consistency of this product release, with its rich dark amber color, strong legs, and moderate viscosity.
Nose:
Warm, rich, and yummy on the nose, again reflecting consistency in quality in Barrel Proof. Notes showcased include classic vanilla, oak, brown sugar, caramel, and molasses.
Palate:
Consistency once again in the palate. A bit of heat brings along with it those notes of oak, vanilla, caramel, a hint of spice, brown sugar, maple, and some leather.
Finish:
It finishes like a warm dream, especially if you bring some air into your mouth as you swallow. This is classic EC Barrel Proof all the way, holding a slight touch of sweetness as it quietly fades.
Comments:
You want consistency in offering a solid product with a well-established, more limited release like Elijah Craig Barrel Proof from batch to batch. Heaven Hill delivers that here without skipping a beat.
