Tasting Notes

About:

A Kentucky bourbon with a moderate amount of rye in the mash bill influenced by French oak staves. It is bottled at 92 proof and priced at $49.99.
Appearance:
A nice moderate orange amber exists in the glass here, supported by moderate legs and viscosity.
Nose:
Upon first smell, this has a sharp, peppery note and a big vanilla and caramel pop. Supporting aromatics include oak, a deep undertone of maple, floral considerations, and bananas.
Palate:
This texture on the palate is soft and velvety, reflecting an easy sipper. Notes of flavor here include a gentle vanilla and oak kiss, a subtle amount of black pepper, a baked bread consideration, some white chocolate, and a bit of anise.
Finish:
This finishes quickly, with a hint of sweetness and a short finish.
Comments:
2XO French Oak Bourbon is an enjoyable bourbon that’s not overly complex and makes for an approachable expression. It would also work well in a nice cocktail.
