Teeling Fighting Irish Partnership Continues with New Design

The Teeling x Notre Dame Small Batch limited edition release returns for 2025 with updated packaging that includes a gold capsule inspired by Notre Dame’s football helmets and a label reflecting the team’s white, gold, and blue away uniform colors. The bottle features an embossed ND emblem and maintains the same whiskey profile as the inaugural release.

“Born from a multi-year partnership between Teeling Whiskey and Notre Dame Athletics, this series celebrates their shared Irish heritage, commitment to excellence, and passion for bringing fans together, whether in the stadium, at home, or around the bar,” according to the company’s announcement.

The whiskey is priced at $34.99 and bottled at 46% ABV. The spirit undergoes aging for up to six years in ex-bourbon casks before a six-month finishing period in rum casks.

Official tasting notes describe the whiskey as having a floral nose with vanilla sweetness, rum-raisin, and allspice. The taste profile includes creamy texture with dried fruits and warming spice, leading to a long finish with balanced oak and spice notes.

The release coincides with the upcoming college football season and positions itself as suitable for various consumption methods. The company suggests serving it neat, on the rocks, or in their recommended Fighting Irish Highball cocktail, which combines the whiskey with apple juice and ginger ale garnished with an apple slice.

The partnership between Teeling and Notre Dame Athletics began last year with the 2024 small batch whisky. Teeling also launched a special edition 24-year-old whiskey in partnership with Notre Dame. The Phoenix Series whiskey was crafted to celebrate 100 years since the Fighting Irish’s first national championship.

The limited-edition bottle design aims to appeal to both whiskey collectors and Notre Dame supporters, and now begins rolling out in the U.S. market.
