The London Distillery Company (TLDC) will release Ten Times Around the Sun, London’s first 10-year-old single malt whisky, on Friday 27 February. The limited edition bottling of 220 bottles marks a significant milestone for the capital’s modern whisky revival and is priced at £89.95.
The whisky was distilled from Quench spring barley and laid down on 20 October 2015 in a single ex-bourbon barrel #007.
Ten Times Around the Sun has been bottled at 51.4% ABV and is presented non-chill-filtered with natural color.

TLDC was established in 2011, creating the first new whisky distillery in London since Lea Valley Distillery closed in 1903.
The original Battersea-based operation gained recognition for combining traditional production methods with contemporary approaches before closing in 2019.
Following the company’s revival in 2025, TLDC has spent the past year re-establishing its presence in London’s whisky landscape.
“Ten Times Around the Sun marks a defining moment for The London Distillery Company,” said Matt McKay, TLDC managing director and whisky maker.
“It honours one of our earliest casks, capturing the original spirit that began our journey. This release is a tangible piece of London’s whisky history, surviving the distillery’s closure in 2019 and now emerging as a symbol of our return.”
McKay added: “This is a whisky born of our past, shaped by our revival, and confidently demonstrating our bold, bright future.”
The release features artwork inspired by the single malt’s decade of maturation, visually representing ten full orbits around the sun.
As one of the earliest casks laid down by the distillery, barrel #007 has witnessed the growth of England’s whisky sector over the past decade.
The cask’s survival through TLDC’s closure reinforces London’s emerging position as a credible whisky-producing region.
Ten Times Around the Sun will be available exclusively through www.londondistillery.co.uk from 27 February.
