Laws Whiskey House has launched a new 4,000-square-foot tasting room in Denver, marking a significant expansion for the Colorado distillery.
The two-story “Whiskey Sanctuary,” which opened on December 21st, features multiple tasting spaces including a distinctive whiskey church, full-service bar, and cocktail lounge.
A Bold Architectural Statement
The new facility, designed by BOSS.architecture, showcases a striking brutalist design that incorporates raw materials like steel, glass, and exposed concrete. The exterior’s industrial aesthetic transitions to a warmer interior featuring wood and brass accents, centered around the “Whiskey Church” with its Gothic windows and custom-carved pews by founder Al Laws.
“Just as Laws adds to the fabric of American whiskey, our new tasting room contributes to the fabric of Denver’s whiskey scene,” says Al Laws, Founder and President of Laws Whiskey House. “Like it says on our bottles, there are no shortcuts. Seven years later, we’ve proven that commitment.”

Enhanced Visitor Experience
The cocktail program features Laws’ terroir-driven whiskeys in both classic and innovative preparations, with prices ranging from $12-14. Signature cocktails include an Orange Whiskey Creamsicle ($12) and Peach Basil Whiskey Smash ($14), alongside traditional offerings like the Old Fashioned ($13).
“When I started Laws almost 15 years ago, this was always the goal – to create a fully immersive experience that connects people to the whiskey,” Laws adds.
The expanded facility includes a retail section offering bottles and branded merchandise, complementing the enhanced distillery tour program designed to deepen visitors’ whiskey education.
