Las Vegas Distillery will release just 230 bottles of its 2-year Straight Bourbon Whiskey on September 27, marking a significant milestone for the Henderson-based producer as it demonstrates bourbon production is possible in Nevada’s desert climate.

Desert-Aged Bourbon Whiskey

The single barrel release represents the distillery’s second bourbon offering, following their 1-Year Aged Blue Corn Bourbon in 2024. According to official tasting notes, Barrel #21 delivers warm caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, and orange peel aromas, with honeyed corn, baking spice, and cocoa flavors on the palate. The finish features pronounced oak with toffee notes.

“We are excited to showcase the fact that great Bourbon can and will be made in the Las Vegas Valley by working with climate and not against it,” said Master Distiller Jonny Ver Planck. The distillery leverages Nevada’s high heat and dry conditions to accelerate barrel interaction, creating concentrated flavors typically associated with longer aging periods.

The individually numbered bottles will be available for $49.99 each at the distillery’s Booze District location, with purchases limited to two per person on a first-come, first-served basis. The 94-proof bourbon joins Las Vegas Distillery’s existing portfolio of vodka, gin, rum varieties, and coffee liqueur.

Founded in 2024, Las Vegas Distillery handles all production on-site, from grain milling through bottling. The facility recently celebrated its first anniversary and expansion into local distribution. Tours run Wednesday through Sunday, offering visitors insight into the distilling process and tastings in their vintage Vegas-inspired tasting room.
