The distribution partnership marks a significant milestone for Kamiki Drinks. The company’s premium spirits have seen great success in Japan and the USA. These spirits include Kamiki Whisky, Umiki Whisky, and Minoki Rum, all of which are produced at the Kamiki Shuzou Co. Distillery in Nara, Japan.

The aforementioned spirits will be distributed across the UK from July 1st onwards, whilst the spirits will be available in the Benelux market beginning on August 1st, 2024.

Kamiki Japanese Cedar Cask Finished Whisky

Japanese whisky lovers in the UK and Europe will finally be able to sample the brand’s famous Kamiki Japanese Cedar Cask Finished Whisky. The whisky is aged for a minimum of three years on oak barrels before being finished in cedar casks.

Specifically, the whisky is finished in Yoshino Sugi casks – a type of soft and fragrant Japanese cedar that is often used in the making of sake. The cedar, which is indigenous to Japan, has also been used to build temples for centuries, thanks to its incense-like, calming properties.
