Local is the New Global: Jameson Distilled Sounds and Anderson .Paak
Jameson Distilled Sounds taps into a significant musical shift: the rise of non-English language hits on global charts and a growing appetite for unexpected, cross-genre collaboration. This year, artists from regions as diverse as India, South Africa, Portugal, Nigeria, and Indonesia will converge in Dublin, Ireland, to write, record, and perform new music under Anderson .Paak’s expert guidance.
Anderson .Paak, who reprises his role as ‘Music Distiller,’ expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “I’m stoked to be back for Jameson Distilled Sounds Year 2! This really is an opportunity for like-minded artists to come together, connect and learn from one another. You’ve got drill next to Amapiano, K-pop crossing over with soul, everyone bringing their own flavor, and we just build and collaborate. It’s not about hits, it’s about heart. That’s the magic.”
The program highlights the fusion of genres, with collaborations such as Alté meeting Afrobeats and Punjabi drill merging with Parisian trap. Each artist will immerse themselves in the creative process, resulting in original music inspired by their roots and their global peers. The fruits of their labor will be released throughout the summer on the Jameson YouTube Channel, featuring digital performances and artist-led masterclasses.

Standout artists include South African soul singer Lloyiso, Portuguese experimentalist EU.CLIDES, and drill innovator Skinner from Ireland. Other artists such as Mary Ann Alexander from India, Monica Karina from Indonesia, and East African talents Xenia Manasseh and Kethan will join the mix. The ensemble also features Nigerian American R&B force Manny Wellz, Namibia’s Kp Illest, Kazakh synth-pop pioneer Moldanazar, and Malaysian alt-pop artist Saint Kylo.
Krystal Miles, GM of APESHIT INC., emphasized the broader impact of the initiative, stating, “With APESHIT Family, we’re building more than a moment – we’re building a movement. This isn’t just about what happens during the program; it’s about where it leads. We’re focused on expanding our roster beyond North America and tapping into artists who are shaping the sound of now from every corner of the world.”
As Jameson Distilled Sounds continues to foster global creativity and collaboration, music fans can anticipate a summer filled with new tracks, digital performances, and behind-the-scenes insights.
