Jackson McCrea Whiskey To Host Founders Salon: By Women, For Women

Jackson McCrea Whiskey will host its first Founders Salon this August, bringing together women entrepreneurs and changemakers in a virtual gathering focused on strategy and legacy-building rather than traditional whiskey tastings.

The Los Angeles-based brand, which won a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, aims to reshape an industry historically dominated by male leadership. The woman-led company has expanded to over 50 retail locations since its launch.

Jackson McCrea Redefines Whiskey Industry Traditions

The Founders Salon marks a departure from typical whiskey events. Instead of focusing on tasting notes or production methods, the gathering will center on business strategy and community building. Guest speaker Shira Yevin, founder of Gritty in Pink, will address attendees during the virtual event.

“We didn’t just make whiskey. We made the room where the conversations should’ve always been happening,” says Sheila Jackson, Co-CEO and Chief Brand Officer. “And we’re not hosting tastings—we’re hosting transformation.”

The event will also spotlight JM 100, the brand’s national advisory collective. This group aims to reimagine how women experience luxury, leadership, and legacy within the spirits industry.

Jackson McCrea Expands Market Presence with Innovation

The company’s signature product features a double-cask Tennessee whiskey rested in Syrah barrels from California Wine Country. This flavor-forward approach targets preferences often overlooked by traditional whiskey makers.

Jackson McCrea positions itself as a premium brand made for women, by women, but enjoyed by everyone. The company’s rapid retail expansion and competition success suggest growing market acceptance of its approach.

The whiskey industry has seen increased efforts toward inclusivity in recent years. Brands like Jackson McCrea respond to this demographic shift by creating products and experiences that appeal to diverse consumers.

The virtual Founders Salon represents more than a marketing event. It demonstrates how spirits brands can build community beyond product sales. By focusing on entrepreneurship and leadership rather than consumption alone, Jackson McCrea attempts to create lasting connections with its target audience.
