Isle of Harris Distillery has unveiled a limited-edition ceramic bottle glazed in “Sea Thrift Pink,” inspired by the wildflowers that bloom along the Outer Hebridean coastlines. The handcrafted Cèilidh Bottle, limited to 1,500 bottles, launches today (July 16) to coincide with the HebCelt Festival, continuing the distillery’s annual series that celebrates the island’s natural landscape.

Isle of Harris Gin Captures Coastal Flora in Collectible Ceramic
The third edition in the Cèilidh Bottle series takes its inspiration from sea thrift, the resilient pink flowers that dot Harris’s rocky shores each summer.
Potter Rupert Blamire hand-throws each 350ml ceramic vessel over several months, creating unique variations that transform the gin bottle into a reusable art piece. The soft pink glaze mirrors the flower’s distinctive “pom-pom shaped” blooms, which attract local bumblebees.
“We’re proud to continue our Cèilidh Bottle tradition with a colour that can be found across our coastlines this time of year,” said Simon Erlanger, Managing Director of Isle of Harris Distillery. “Sea thrift is a tough little plant with a striking pink bloom, known for its ability to survive harsh conditions and burst back to life each summer – a beautiful representation of life on this island for those who proudly call Harris home.”
Isle of Harris Distillery Partners with HebCelt Festival
The distillery debuts the pink Cèilidh Bottle at this year’s HebCelt Festival in Stornoway, where it returns as a partner following successful collaboration in 2024. The Isle of Harris Gin Cèilidh Tent features contemporary traditional musicians from across Scotland, cèilidh dancing, and premium cocktails alongside the distillery’s Hearach single malt whisky.
For this release, the distillery recommends serving the gin in a Grapefruit Gimlet, a citrus-forward cocktail that complements the spirit’s maritime notes.

The ceramic bottles incorporate the maritime swirls of the original glass bottle design while offering a sustainable option for display or refilling. Each bottle comes packaged in a decorative box featuring Harris Cèilidh storytelling and embossed details.
The Sea Thrift Pink Cèilidh Bottle retails for £53 and is now available at www.harrisdistillery.com for UK customers. Limited quantities will also be sold at the distillery shop in Tarbert and the HebCelt festival shop on July 16 and 17.
