Hinterhaus Releases Limited 5-Year Anniversary Bourbon
Hinterhaus Distilling releases 27-batch bourbon blend for fifth anniversary

Hinterhaus Distilling will release a limited-edition bourbon combining 27 different batches to celebrate its fifth anniversary this November. The California distillery has produced only 96 bottles of the commemorative whiskey. Infinity will be available exclusively at its Arnold bottle shop starting November 1.

Father-and-son distillers Nate and Keagan Randall created the blend using bourbon saved from batches produced during the distillery’s first five years of operation.

The whiskey features 16 unique mashbills and 15 different wine-finishing casks, with ages ranging from four to eight years.

“5 years of Hinterhaus commemorated in 27 batches of bourbon that we blended together was something so fun and unique to produce,” said Nate Randall, owner and head distiller.

The blended bourbons underwent additional aging in an 11-year French Oak California port barrel sourced from the distillery’s county.

Each bottle features specialty packaging including a custom box and what the distillery describes as an “out-of-this-world label.”

“We decided to pull out all the stops for this bottle,” said Bonnie Randall, co-owner and head of operations at Hinterhaus.

The distillery has created a dedicated webpage where customers can trace the lineage of each batch used in the blend.

“Every detail can be traced on a special page of our website, making its lineage traceable. That transparency is part and parcel to everything we produce at Hinterhaus,” Bonnie Randall added.

Founded in 2020 by husband-and-wife team Nate and Bonnie Randall, Hinterhaus Distilling operates from Arnold, California, at an elevation of 4,300 feet in the Stanislaus National Forest.

The distillery produces both in-house distilled products and sourced whiskeys that it ages, blends, and finishes using proprietary methods.

Hinterhaus holds memberships in the American Single Malt Whiskey Commission, the American Craft Spirits Association, and the Craft Malt Guild.

Its spirits have won awards from the American Distilling Institute, American Craft Spirits Association, Sunset Magazine, and Wine Enthusiast.

The limited release will be available while supplies last at the distillery’s bottle shop location.
