Gold Bar Whiskey Bitcoin & Satoshi Reserves Launch

San Francisco-based Gold Bar Whiskey has unveiled two cryptocurrency-themed limited releases, combining traditional American whiskey craftsmanship with digital currency culture in bottles priced from $249.99 to $999.99.

Gold Bar Whiskey Bitcoin Reserve Mirrors Cryptocurrency Scarcity

The Bitcoin Reserve release caps production at 21,000 bottles, echoing Bitcoin’s 21 million coin limit. The first expression blends American straight bourbon barrels aged between 5 and 14 years, finished in red wine casks from Sonoma and Napa Valley.

Bottled at 93 proof (46.5% ABV), the whiskey targets both collectors and newcomers to whiskey culture. According to official tasting notes, the profile aims to be “both contemplative and crowd-pleasing.”

The Bitcoin Reserve retails at $249.99 and includes collector-grade coins embedded in the bottle design and housed in a velvet display case.

Gold Bar Whiskey Satoshi Reserve Offers Ultra-Limited Single Barrel Experience

The Satoshi Reserve commemorates 15 years since cryptocurrency’s first real-world transaction with just 999 individually numbered bottles. Each contains single barrel rye aged 14 years at MGP Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

The whiskey features a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. After initial aging, barrels travel to California for finishing in French oak wine casks from Sonoma and Napa Valley. Official tasting notes describe the result as “deeply complex and layered.”

Bottled at cask strength between 115 and 123 proof (57.5% – 61.5% ABV), each barrel yields unique flavor variations. The Satoshi Reserve sells for $999.99 per bottle.

Purchasers join the Satoshi VIP Digital Gold Club, gaining access to future releases, private events at Gold Bar’s San Francisco distillery, and early concert ticket opportunities.

“These new releases honor the visionary nature of cryptocurrency while staying true to our core of innovation, craftsmanship, and storytelling,” said Elliott Gillespie, President of The Gold Bar Spirits Company. “We’re blending tradition with modernity to create a truly unique offering.”

Both expressions incorporate visual elements reflecting cryptocurrency themes. Each bottle includes two coins – one embedded in the design and another in a display case.

The releases follow Gold Bar Whiskey’s pattern of themed limited editions targeting specific collector communities. Previous releases have focused on music, art, and technology sectors.

The Bitcoin and Satoshi Reserves are available exclusively through goldbarwhiskey.com and select retail partners, with shipping throughout the United States.

Gold Bar Whiskey operates from San Francisco, California, sourcing barrels from established American distilleries before finishing them in California wine casks. The brand has received multiple awards for its standard expressions and limited releases.

The cryptocurrency-themed bottles enter a growing market segment where whiskey producers create collectible releases targeting specific enthusiast communities beyond traditional whiskey drinkers.
