Glenfiddich Aston Martin Partnership Launches

Luxury British brands Glenfiddich and Aston Martin have announced an exclusive global partnership, marking the whisky maker’s official debut as Aston Martin’s whisky partner beyond its existing Formula One team relationship.

The collaboration launched August 14 at Monterey Car Week in California, where both brands showcased their shared commitment to craftsmanship and innovation at The House of Aston Martin. The partnership extends Glenfiddich’s relationship with Aston Martin from the racing circuit to the luxury car brand’s full portfolio.

Claudia Falcone, Global Brand Director at Glenfiddich, said: “We are delighted to extend our journey with Aston Martin beyond the Formula One™ team and into the world of Aston Martin high-performance luxury vehicles […] Together, they tell one story: two brands united by heritage and driven by innovation.”

Glenfiddich Unveils Rare 1976 Vintage for Aston Martin Partnership

To commemorate the alliance, Glenfiddich has released a limited-edition 1976 Single Malt, aged 48 years and finished in a specially coopered European oak sherry cask. Only 50 bottles of the rare vintage will be available worldwide through The Distillers Library and The Glenfiddich Distillery.

The 1976 vintage represents a transformative era for both brands. During the 1970s, Glenfiddich introduced its iconic stag’s head logo and built a new still house, while Aston Martin was developing advanced design concepts that would shape the marque for decades.

According to official tasting notes, the whisky presents red berry sweetness with crumbly butter pastry and gentle spice on the nose. The palate features dry oak tannin, sweet stewed fruits, and toasted wood, finishing with lasting sweet oak spice.

Brian Kinsman, Malt Master at Glenfiddich, explained the selection: “This exceptional cask was not selected for its vintage year alone, but for the era it represents; the transformative mid-1970s, a defining period that marked the beginning of Glenfiddich’s modern era and helped shape the whisky’s character for generations to come.”

He added: “The whisky matured in a refill sherry cask before being moved into a 100 litre European oak sherry cask built by one of our coopers. Nearly 50 years later, we continue to honour that legacy, staying true to the spirit of innovation and craftsmanship that helped make Glenfiddich the renowned Single Malt it is today – qualities that perfectly embody our new partnership with Aston Martin.”

Aston Martin and Glenfiddich Celebrate Shared British Heritage

The partnership highlights both brands’ British roots and dedication to luxury craftsmanship. At Monterey Car Week, Glenfiddich created a pop-up whisky tasting experience alongside Aston Martin’s Valhalla, the company’s first plug-in hybrid supercar.

Stefano Saporetti, Director of Brand Diversification at Aston Martin, stated: “Both brands are globally celebrated yet proudly rooted in British history, creating a true balance of tradition and innovation.”

The collaboration will produce limited-edition releases and shared experiences, though specific future products have not been announced.

Both companies emphasized their commitment to responsible alcohol consumption and their shared message against drinking and driving.

This partnership announcement follows Glenfiddich’s August 17 launch of a new 16 Year Old Single Malt created with the Aston Martin Formula One team, expanding the whisky brand’s presence across Aston Martin’s portfolio from racing to luxury vehicles.
