The Kentucky Bourbon Country Auction & Celebration (KBCA) has announced its second major auction lot, a private barrel selection from Four Roses Distillery. Titled ‘Balance of Power’, the lot will be part of the inaugural auction scheduled for February 13–15, 2026, with proceeds benefiting the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
This reveal is part of the “12 Lots of Bourbon” series, a countdown leading up to the main event, which is being held in Louisville, Kentucky.
The lot features a private barrel personally selected by Four Roses Master Distiller Brent Elliott. It is drawn from one of the distillery’s 10 unique Bourbon recipes. Four Roses is the only major distillery to combine two distinct mash bills with five proprietary yeast strains to create its portfolio.
Tracy Thornsberry, brand director at Four Roses Distillery, said: “This barrel is a great example of how balance comes to life in our Bourbon.”
“From recipe selection to maturation, every decision is intentional, and this particular barrel reflects the depth of character and craftsmanship we strive for in every release,” Thornsberry added.
The ‘Balance of Power’ lot follows the auction’s first revealed lot, which was titled ‘Freedom’.

This series of announcements will culminate in January 2026, aligning with America’s 250th anniversary year.

The inaugural Kentucky Bourbon Country Auction and Celebration will be a three-day event uniting distilleries, chefs, and Bourbon enthusiasts for tastings and philanthropic events.
All proceeds from the auction will support the Bob Woodruff Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting veterans, service members, and their families. The KBCA committee includes spirits industry executives and authors such as Tim Laird, Lori Laird, Larry Profancik, and Henrietta Pepper.
