The new Crown Royal 31 Year Old (46% ABV) was crafted using barrels hand-selected by Master Blender, Mark Balkenende. The finished whisky contains some of the rarest Crown Royal whisky in the world and also constitutes the oldest blended whisky from the brand.

Layered and complex, the whisky offers a silky-smooth mouthfeel, with notes of rye spice, vanilla, red apple, and toasted oak. The finish is long and comforting, with warm fruity spice.

“Crown Royal Aged 31 Years is our rarest variant to date and serves as the perfect addition to any luxury spirits collection,” said Hadley Schafer, VP of Crown Royal. “This whisky has been patiently aging for over three decades, and it’s a true representation of the journey we have taken to create something extraordinary. We are excited to share this unique expression with our loyal brand adorers.”

About Crown Royal

Crown Royal is a Canadian whisky first produced in 1939 to commemorate the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Canada. It is a blended whisky made from a mix of over 50 different whiskies, produced at the Crown Royal distillery in Gimli, Manitoba.

The whisky is typically aged in oak barrels, contributing to its flavor profile, which includes notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak. Crown Royal is known for its light, smooth character, a common feature of Canadian whisky, and is often used in cocktails or enjoyed neat.

Its distinctive packaging includes a purple velvet bag, which has become a recognizable part of its branding. Crown Royal is one of the best-selling Canadian whiskies globally, widely available in various expressions such as Crown Royal Blackberry, part of the Flavored Series. Earlier this year, the brand also made its first venture into the single malt market
