Luxury blended scotch brand Chivas Regal has unveiled Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc as its new Global Brand Ambassador in a multiyear partnership that will showcase the racing star’s off-track passions, beginning with his love of music.

The collaboration aims to redefine success by celebrating personal achievements beyond the traditional spotlight. Leclerc, known for his racing prowess on the track, will share his other talents with fans, starting with his skills as a self-taught pianist and composer.

The announcement follows the news of a multi-year partnership between Chivas Regal and Ferrari, unveiled in November 2024.

Racing Champion to Debut Partnership with Melbourne Piano Bar Pop-Up

To launch the partnership, Chivas Regal and Leclerc will host an exclusive one-night pop-up piano bar called “Leclerc’s” in Melbourne on March 11, just days before the 2025 Formula 1 season opener in the city. The race will take place on March 16th, with Charles and his new teammate, Lewis Hamilton, hoping to make an impact on track.

Blending Music and Whisky

The pop-up event will offer VIP guests and a limited number of fans the opportunity to enjoy bespoke Chivas Regal x Charles Leclerc whisky cocktails while experiencing an evening centered around music. Leclerc will make a special appearance at the event, highlighting the connection between his precision on the racetrack, his musical talents, and the craftsmanship of Chivas whisky.

“It’s no secret Charles has had incredible success in his life, but it is his tenacious spirit, commitment to excellence and off-track passions that inspired this partnership,” said Nick Blacknell, Global Marketing Director for Chivas Regal at Chivas Brothers. “The 88 notes of the piano draw perfect parallels with the 85 flavor notes of our iconic Chivas 18 Year Old expression, showing how both music and whisky blend passion with precision. We’re excited to bring fans on the journey to celebrate our wins together – the ethos that lies at the heart of Chivas Regal.”

Leclerc, who has released multiple musical tracks in recent years, sees natural parallels between his various pursuits.

“Success is about blending all the right notes – on and off the track,” said Leclerc. “My craft demands time, precision, and dedication, but what truly drives me is the journey, my passions, and the moments shared along the way.”

The F1 star added that Chivas Regal “embodies this same ethos, encouraging people to find their own rhythm and celebrate every win, big or small.”

Fans hoping to attend the exclusive Melbourne event can enter for a chance to win through TimeOut Melbourne before the March 8 deadline. The companies indicated this marks just the beginning of the partnership, with more collaborative events planned for the future.

Ferrari Gears Up For 2025

Following an impressive showing in the 2024 season, including wins at his home race in Monaco and at Monza (the home of Ferrari), Charles Leclerc is hoping for continued success in this year’s car: the SF-25.

Joining him for this season is seven-time World Champion, Lewis Hamilton, who departed long-time team, Mercedes, and the end of last season. What will 2025 bring for the pair? We will have to wait and see.

The 2025 Formula 1 World Championship season begins with practice 1 at the Australian Grand Prix on March 14th. I will be watching. Will you?
