Buffalo Trace Pops Up In Paris

Following the successful London pop-up in May 2024, and the official opening of a London location, Buffalo Trace Distillery is popping up in Paris between Friday, July 19th, and Monday, August 26th. 
The temporary retail store will be located at 36 Rue Etienne Marcel, 2nd arrondissement, and will carry many of Buffalo Trace Distillery’s most famous brands. These include Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Weller 12 Year Old, Eagle Rare, and Sazerac Rye. French bourbon and whiskey fans will also have access to exclusive Paris-themed merchandise, sold only at the pop-up. 

The move comes as the distillery’s brands have seen increased exposure and sales in France, with Weller being a particular French favorite. 

Speaking about the pop-up, Homeplace Director of Buffalo Trace, Ed Bell, said: “In May of this year we opened Buffalo Trace London, our Distillery’s first international location, and we’re honored to continue engaging and educating international whiskey fans with our Paris store this summer. 

“While everyone is welcome to visit Buffalo Trace Distillery in the United States, we want to make it easier for Paris residents and visitors to learn, explore, try, and fall in love with our whiskeys. We know there will be an increase in foot traffic to the city in July and August, and our prime location will give visitors an excuse to go beyond sporting and cultural events while in town.”

Buffalo Trace Paris 12 Gold Tasting Experience

In addition to this, the pop-up will offer an exclusive tasting experience centered around the Weller brand, named ‘12 Gold’. This invite-only experience will be hosted in the Weller lounge at the retail pop-up and will offer samplings to up to four guests. Included in the tasting will be some of the very first pours of the new Weller Millennium to be offered in Europe. 

The 12 Gold experience is strictly limited and available to a select few guests. To be eligible fans must follow these steps: 

  • Follow @buffalotracedistillery_uk_eu on Instagram 
  • Like the grid post highlighting the 12 Gold experience 
  • Tag at least one (or more) people you would like to share the experience with 

Winners, chosen at random, will be DM’ed at least 24 hours before the next available time slot. The guest has four hours to respond and confirm their attendance. 

Dates and times for the experience will be announced on the Buffalo Trace Distillery UK EU Instagram page, so keep an eye on it for updates. 

The Experimental Cocktail Club 

Buffalo Trace Distillery has also partnered with Experimental Cocktail Club, a bar at 37 Rye Saint Sauveur, to offer specially curated Weller 12 cocktails. These cocktails will be offered during a two-week residency, running from 26th July to 10th August.
