Sazerac-owned Buffalo Trace Distillery has announced it will bring its first-ever pop-up tasting experience to Mumbai, India. The three-day event will take place from November 14-16, 2025, at the Phoenix Palladium mall, offering guided tastings of its key American whiskey expressions.

The move signals a focused effort by the Kentucky-based distillery to engage with the growing base of American whiskey consumers in India. The market has shown increasing interest in premium and craft spirits, making it a key target for global brands.

The immersive pop-up will be located in the atrium of the Phoenix Palladium in Lower Parel, a premium retail destination.

Guests can participate in 20-minute guided tasting sessions featuring the distillery’s flagship Buffalo Trace Bourbon. The lineup will also include Benchmark and the popular wheated bourbon brand, Weller.

Knowledgeable hosts will lead attendees through the tasting, explaining the distillation techniques, production, and flavor notes of each whiskey.

The experience aims to be sensory, with dedicated scent, leather, and chocolate stations designed to highlight the nuanced character of the spirits.

Information on the distillery’s more than 200-year history and legacy of innovation will also be a core part of the presentation.

Tickets for the event are available for ₹999 (approximately US$12) and can be booked via the District by Zomato platform.

Entry is strictly limited to individuals aged 25 and over, complying with the legal drinking age for spirits in the state of Maharashtra.

Buffalo Trace is part of the extensive portfolio of the Sazerac Company, which has been actively increasing its presence in the Indian market. This pop-up is the latest initiative to build brand affinity directly with Indian consumers.
