Buffalo Trace Distillery has partnered with BlockBar to launch a major charity fundraiser aimed at supporting Kentucky communities devastated by recent spring storms. The “Pour it Forward for Kentucky” initiative features rare bourbons, exclusive experiences, and collectible items, with 100% of proceeds going directly to relief efforts.

The fundraiser responds to widespread damage from severe weather events that struck Kentucky this spring, including a deadly tornado that hit Southern Kentucky on 16 May and historic flooding that affected multiple communities in early April.

Buffalo Trace Offers Rare Bottles and Exclusive Experience

The auction includes some of Buffalo Trace’s most coveted releases, featuring ultra-aged bottlings such as Weller Millennium, Eagle Rare 25, and O.F.C. Vintage 2005. Complete collections are also available, including the full Pappy Van Winkle lineup, Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, and 2024 Prohibition Collection.

Beyond rare whisky, the fundraiser offers unique experiences, including a Sazerac Barrel Select opportunity where winners can choose and purchase a barrel of Blanton’s Gold, complete with VIP tour and overnight stay at Stagg Lodge. Music fans can bid on items from Chris and Morgane Stapleton’s charitable fund, including an autographed Epiphone Hummingbird Studio guitar and a personally signed Traveller Whiskey bottle.

One standout lot features a bottle of Double Eagle Very Rare paired with a handcrafted coffee table created from a former Double Eagle barrel by Buffalo Trace’s Whiskey Woodcraft team.

Supporting Long-Term Recovery Efforts

“The recent spring storms have had a profound impact on communities across Kentucky and, especially in times like these, it’s essential that we rally people to support our neighbours in need,” said Jake Wenz, President & CEO of Sazerac & Buffalo Trace Distillery. “Buffalo Trace remains committed to supporting our home state, and every bid placed is a step toward helping our community recover.”

The fundraiser benefits both the American Red Cross and the Franklin County Flood Relief Fund through Blue Grass Community Foundation. Nadine McCrindle, CEO of Red Cross Kentucky Region, praised Buffalo Trace’s partnership, noting it “enables us to give help and hope to hundreds of families who were affected by the deadly tornado in Southern Kentucky and the severe April floods.”

The auction runs from 22 May at 10am EST through 5 June, with bidding starting at $100 per lot and no reserves. Winners will be notified during the week of 9 June. Additionally, sweepstakes entries allow participants to win purchase opportunities for O.F.C. Vintage 2006 and PGA golf packages, with one entry granted per $50 donation.
