Breckenridge Distillery Launches Mountain Shot

Breckenridge Distillery has unveiled Mountain Shot, a new whiskey and malt-based beverage infused with Japanese maitake mushrooms. The Colorado-based craft distillery created the product as a tribute to mountain culture and outdoor enthusiasts.

The new offering comes in two varieties. The whiskey-based version contains 69 proof alcohol and is available in 750-milliliter bottles, 1-liter bottles, and 100-milliliter resealable pouches. A 30-proof malt-based version will be sold in 100-milliliter pouches at convenience stores.

Breckenridge Distillery Blends Mountain Shot with Unique Ingredients

The beverage combines chocolate and mint flavors with maitake mushrooms, also known as Hen of the Woods. According to official tasting notes, the mushroom infusion creates a distinct mouthfeel. The company designed Mountain Shot specifically for consumption as a shot rather than a sipping whiskey.

“Our mission has always been to challenge conventions while honoring the craftsmanship of creating whiskey,” said Bryan Nolt, Founder and CEO at Breckenridge Distillery. “With Mountain Shot, we’ve created something that’s not only unique but also celebrates the diversity of flavors and meets our consumers where they want to be drinking – at the bar, at the base of a mountain, or at their après.”

The product targets outdoor enthusiasts and mountain town residents, and the packaging includes portable pouches designed for easy transport during outdoor activities.
