The James B. Beam Distilling Co. has unveiled its third 2025 Booker’s Bourbon release, paying tribute to Jerry Dalton, the company’s first and only Master Distiller outside the Beam family.
The limited-edition batch, aged 7 years, 4 months, and 21 days, carries a suggested retail price of $99.99 and is bottled at 124.7 proof.
Jerry’s Batch Celebrates Historic Distillery Figure
Jerry Dalton’s journey began as a chemist at a local distillery before joining The James B. Beam Distilling Co., where he formed a close friendship with Booker Noe. When Booker retired, Dalton served as Master Distiller for several years, bridging the gap until Fred Noe was ready to assume the role. The Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame inducted Dalton in summer 2024, recognizing his significant contributions to the industry.
“For years, I just assumed Jerry was already part of the Bourbon Hall of Fame, but he only got inducted last summer. He’s a real humble guy who never liked making too much of a fuss, but he’s damn worth celebrating. Beam wouldn’t be what it is without him, and I couldn’t be prouder to honor him with this batch,” said Fred Noe, 7th Generation Master Distiller.
Booker’s Bourbon Jerry’s Batch Blends Nine Warehouse Selections
The new release combines barrels from seven different production dates stored across nine warehouses at the Clermont facility. Each warehouse contributed 11.1% of the final blend, with barrels selected from various floors ranging from the third to fifth levels. The Master Distiller’s notes indicate that each warehouse brings unique characteristics to the maturation process due to micro-climate conditions.
According to official tasting notes, the bourbon presents aromas of vanilla and spices on the nose. The taste delivers big and bold flavors characteristic of Booker’s Bourbon, while the finish is described as long and delightful. Additional notes from the Master Distiller highlight flavors of caramel, oak, butterscotch, and apple on a full-bodied palate.
The release continues Booker’s tradition of naming batches after significant figures in the distillery’s history, following two previous 2025 releases.
