Barrell Craft Spirits will release an extremely limited production of 108 bottles of its 21-year-old Toasted Single Barrel bourbon on Tuesday, December 9 at 10AM Eastern time. The whiskey is priced at $199.99 and represents the second release from a special toasted barrel program that began in 2018.
The bourbon’s origins trace back to Barrell’s BCS 15-year-old Gray Label Bourbon, which whiskey authority Fred Minnick named “Best American Whiskey of 2018” in Forbes magazine.
During that production, a portion of the blend was transferred into nine custom-raised American oak barrels. These barrels were toasted to Barrell’s exact specifications.
“This 21-year-old Toasted Single Barrel is the epitome of an expertly blended bourbon matured in a toasted barrel,” the company stated.
The first of these special toasted barrels was released in 2024, after five years of additional aging. This second release has aged for one additional year.
Due to state regulations, online sales will not be available in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, or Utah.
