Angel’s Envy has kicked off its summer-long Daycap campaign with a downtown Louisville street festival that transformed Main Street into a pickleball venue. The event, which took place in front of the Angel’s Envy Distillery, introduced the brand’s new concept of the “Daycap” – a moment to pause and toast achievements with friends.

Angel’s Envy Debuts Daycap Experience Through Sports Partnership

The Louisville Downtown Pickleball Street Festival marked the official launch of Angel’s Envy’s latest marketing initiative. The festival, organized by Louisville Downtown Partnership and Goodbounce Pickleball Yard, featured competitive tournaments, open play sessions, and a dedicated bar serving Peach Smash cocktails.

The Daycap campaign centers on creating moments for consumers to unwind after work or activities. Angel’s Envy has released three narrative videos showcasing different interpretations of these occasions. The brand describes the Daycap as “that earned moment to gather with friends and raise a glass.”

A celebrity exhibition match between Bravo’s Southern Charm cast member Venita Aspen and WAVE Listens Live host Sean Baute drew crowds during the festival. Attendees also explored a Daycap experience inside the distillery featuring games and cocktails.

“I was so excited to team up with ANGEL’S ENVY,” said Venita Aspen. “I’ve recently been exploring the world of bourbon, and style is at the heart of everything I do – so when I was approached for this project, it was an immediate yes! As a Charleston native who’s worked with Short Court, a hometown favorite, this partnership alongside ANGEL’S ENVY felt like a natural fit. Seeing the community come together around pickleball, embrace the Daycap, and celebrate with friends in style — all while enjoying thoughtfully crafted bourbon cocktails like the Peach Smash— was the perfect way to kick off the summer.”

Angel’s Envy has partnered with Charleston-based pickleball brand Short Court to create a limited-edition collection of co-branded paddles and hats. The merchandise is available at the Angel’s Envy Distillery and through shortcourtsports.com.

Angel’s Envy General Manager Gigi DaDan explained the campaign’s purpose: “Introducing the Daycap to consumers across the country allows us to celebrate that earned moment to relax and enjoy a well-crafted drink – an invitation to cap off the day and kick off the night.”

The campaign will continue throughout summer with Daycap takeovers at Louisville venues including Goodbounce Pickleball Yard, Five Iron Golf, Bar Vetti, and Galaxie. The Angel’s Envy Distillery will offer 90-minute Peach Smash cocktail classes bookable through their website. A Charleston sampling event is planned for fall.

The Peach Smash cocktail served at these events features Angel’s Envy bourbon mixed with peach flavors.

Angel’s Envy, known for its port wine barrel-finished bourbon, continues to expand its lifestyle marketing beyond traditional whiskey advertising. The Daycap campaign represents the brand’s latest effort to connect with consumers through experiential events and social occasions.
