Barrell Craft Spirits Launches Inaugural Full Proof Bourbon Blend

Barrell Craft Spirits (BCS), the original independent blender of unique aged, cask strength whiskey since 2013, today launched Barrell Full Proof, its first one-of-a-kind full proof bourbon blend.

The new expression stands apart from the company’s existing portfolio by adopting a distinct approach to proof. While cask strength bourbon is bottled at the proof it reaches when it leaves the barrel, full proof bourbon is bottled at the same proof as when it first entered the barrel.

The Blending Process

The BCS blending team began by carefully selecting individual barrels and cutting each one to its original barrel entry proof. Through precise blending techniques, they then harmonized these distinct elements into a bold, full-flavored bourbon. 

The resulting exceptional blend features straight bourbon whiskeys from Indiana (16 & 18-year), Tennessee (16 & 17-year), and Kentucky (11 & 20-year), which were expertly blended and bottled at 123 proof (61.5% ABV).

Barrell Full Proof Tasting Notes and Availability

The new Barrell Full Proof bourbon delivers a complex flavor profile featuring notes of hazelnut, chocolate, tobacco, and leather. With a derived mash bill of corn (78%), rye (11%), and malted barley (11%), the bourbon offers a rich tasting experience for whiskey enthusiasts.

Barrell Full Proof is now available for purchase online via the BCS website at barrellbourbon.com and at select retailers for the suggested retail price of $199.99 per 750ml bottle.
