Speyside distillery Aberlour has unveiled a new collection of single malt whiskies exclusively for global travel retail, expanding its premium offerings while debuting refreshed packaging.
The new range features three distinct expressions: Aberlour 13 Year Old (40% ABV), Aberlour 16 Year Old Double Charred Selection (43% ABV), and a non-aged offering called Aberlour Suthainn (48% ABV).

Aberlour’s New GTR Collection
Each expression in the collection highlights Aberlour’s approach to cask selection and double cask maturation. The 13 Year Old, matured in American oak and Oloroso Sherry oak casks, delivers sweet and fruity flavor notes, according to the brand.
The 16 Year Old Double Charred Selection brings additional depth and sweetness from its finish in extra charred American oak casks. Meanwhile, the non-chill filtered Suthainn uses “a unique version of the Solera Proces” with extra maturation in European sherry hogshead casks.
“This global travel retail exclusive range demonstrates once again how Aberlour can be the expression of true progressive craftsmanship and everything that makes it unique – from picturesque Speyside to the sensorial experience of every sip,” said Jayne Murphy, Marketing Director of Malts at Chivas Brothers.
“Global travel retail plays a key role for Aberlour, building awareness through increased visibility and exceptional retail experiences. We are excited for consumers to try the new range,” Murphy added.
Sustainability and Design Updates
The travel retail collection introduces Aberlour’s recently refreshed visual identity, featuring warm, earthy tones and a new label design showcasing an oak tree over water, representing the River Lour that flows near the distillery.
The brand emphasized sustainability in the redesign, incorporating recyclable presentation canisters and reducing glass bottle weight by 16% compared to previous designs.
Liya Zhang, VP Marketing at Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, commented: “By utilising the power and differentiation of travel retail, our ambition is to make Aberlour a leading player in the ultra-premium single malt category.”

“The brand’s new look and feel is a stunning reimagining of this much-loved Speyside whisky, and I commend the shared passion and commitment of our teams in getting us to this exciting launch milestone,” Zhang added.
