Tasting Notes:

About:
A blend of malt whiskies from the isle of Islay, matured in American white oak barrels.
Appearance:
Pale honey
Nose:
Sweet, sticky barbecued peaches and pineapple rings. A hint of fabric plaster. Burrata with fresh basil pesto and toasted hazelnuts. Mossy wood — both fresh and damp, and smoldering. Whipped cream infused with Madagascan vanilla, and pear tarte tatin dripping with caramel.
Palate:
Medium-bodied. Slightly medicinal peat notes at first, fading to those juicy barbecued peaches. A hint of pencil lead. Dried basil and oregano. Grilled halloumi-style cheese and Serrano ham. Sweet roasted almonds and a whiff of aerated milk chocolate. Pineapple rings and coconut cream.
Finish:
Smoked ham, charred peach, nuttiness and a hint of crème fraiche linger on, bound with honeyed sweetness.
Comments:
Given its modest ABV, this packed a real punch and presented a real spectrum of what Islay’s peated malts have to offer.
