The Tennessee Whiskey Trail has announced the addition of two new trail members: Stable Reserve Distillery and Peg Leg Porker Spirits. These additions mean an expanded footprint for the trail in Middle Tennessee, now with 30 distillery brands and more than 40 stops across the state.

Stable Reserve Distillery

Stable Reserve Distillery is located in Franklin, TN, and was founded in 2021 by Hunter Yeager and Cam Goodwin. The distillery was officially opened in 2023 as the first distillery within Franklin city limits since Prohibition.

Producing whiskey, bourbon, liquor, gin, and vodka, Stable Reserve Distillery is a three-time recipient of World Spirit awards

At the distillery, guests can enjoy coffee, and spirits, and revel in the Stable Songwriter Series; a monthly tradition that sees local singer-songwriters perform live for visitors.

Peg Leg Porker Spirits

Peg Leg Porker Spirits, owned by Teal Hollow Distilling, is located in Nashville, TN. Founded in 2013 by Carey Bringle, Peg Leg Porker became the world’s only bourbon brand owned by a barbecue pitmaster.

The bourbon is noted for its smoky flavor, expertly combining the flavors of American barbecue with bourbon. Peg Leg Porker was ‘World’s Best Bourbon’ in 2023 at the Tasting Alliance World Championship.

The distillery’s first tasting room was opened in July 2024, offering guests curated tastings and expressions.

The Tennessee Whiskey Trail

Speaking about the trail’s newest members, Charity Toombs, executive director of the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, said: “Stable Reserve and Peg Leg Porker Spirits are iconic names that have brought a unique sense of history and experiences to Middle Tennessee, and we are thrilled to have them join as official members on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail. We are excited for locals and tourists alike to experience not only the whiskey, but the spirit of Tennessee – whether it be through music, local history or curated events, all of which our new members offer.”

Members of the Tennessee Whiskey Trail are a select group of distilleries committed to delivering a rich visitor experience. This includes tastings, retail options, and educational tours. To qualify, distilleries must be based in Tennessee and maintain active membership in the Tennessee Distillers Guild.
