Jameson Irish Whiskey is continuing calls for a professional American football game to be played in the Irish capital, with the Jameson Touchdown in Dublin campaign.
On Friday (September 6th) the Irish whiskey brand unveiled the Jameson Touchdown in Dublin Bus in New York City. With former wide receiver, Julian Edelman, at the front and center, Irish whiskey and football fans made some noise outside pro football HQ in an effort to show that Dublin deserves to host a football game.
Dublin x American Football
According to a Jameson press release, a recent survey by 1Q revealed that 80% of football fans would like to travel to an international city to watch a pro American football game. A staggering 91% would not be opposed to traveling to Dublin, in the Emerald Isle, for said game.
Jameson Touchdown In Dublin
The ongoing Jameson Touchdown in Dublin campaign is an unofficial call for a regular season American football game to be played in Dublin. The campaign will see the Touchdown in Dublin Bus stopping at tailgate parties across the US, drumming up support for the campaign. Jameson encourages football fans at these tailgate parties to enjoy Jameson ready-to-drink cocktails, as well as curated cocktail recipes.
Those who would like to support Jameson’s campaign can do so by joining the ‘huddle’ at Jameson.com (you must be 21 or over). By doing so, you will be entered into a competition that promises that if a 2025-2026 regular season game in Dublin is announced, one winner and up to five friends will be gifted the Ultimate Dublin Experience. This includes flights to Dublin, a tour of the Jameson Distillery, and a $3,000 gift card that can be used towards tickets for the game.
