Benromach Distillery has partnered with fashion brand, Reworked 348, to reimagine traditional distillery workwear as everyday, fashionable jackets. Together with Reworked 348’s head designer, Sally Harnden, the Benromach team has helped to design the jackets to emulate the customary distillery attire whilst also working with current fashion trends.
These limited-edition jackets are available to order now from the Reworked 348 website for £130. A small number of jackets are also available at the Benromach Distillery visitor center in Speyside, Scotland.
Benromach X Reworked 348 Jackets
Reworked 348, based in Derby, England, worked closely with the Benromach Distillery team on this latest drop. Harnden used handmade techniques to create the jackets, mirroring the careful work done at Benromach to produce award-winning single malt scotch whisky.
The design also takes into account recent fashion trends, which have seen a rise in the popularity of utility garments. Each Benromach X Reworked 348 jacket is made from recycled workwear originally worn in the 1990s, aligning with the clothing brand’s core ethos of sustainable clothes-making.
Inspired by classic workwear, the distiller’s coverall jacket combines rugged durability with breathable comfort, crafted from black 100% cotton herringbone with subtle Benromach red accents. The jacket is durable and breathable, essential qualities for distillery workwear.
Prioritizing practicality, it includes two slanted pockets for quick access to essentials and a discreet inner pocket for tools. Safety details, like adaptable cuffs that button or roll up and hidden front buttons, add to its functionality.
A Perfect Partnership
“Reworked 348’s approach aligns perfectly with ours in terms of using traditional handmade skills to create something special,” says Murdo Mackenzie, Production Manager at Benromach. “It was great for them to come up and see us at work in Speyside, and then for me to visit their studio to create a product of great quality and character – just like our whisky.”

Sally Harnden, from Reworked 348, added: “Our goal is to bring products to life in authentic ways, with great attention to detail. So, when Benromach approached us, there was an immediate, natural fit. We are very proud of the end result and will be sitting down for a well-earned dram when the design is revealed to the world and people have the opportunity to buy one for themselves.”
