The Tomatin Cù Bòcan 2006 represents the latest in a long running line of bottlings tied to “a mythical Highland hellhound which was rumoured to haunt the village of Tomatin.” It also continues the tradition of offering up a lightly peated alternative to the traditional fruity flavors of the more regular Tomatin single malts.
The Tomatin Cù Bòcan 2006, according to those behind it, is a 50% ABV expression which aged for around a decade in a combination of ex-sherry and bourbon casks before being bottled. It is packaged in a box and includes with it a free branded glass.
Plans call for 9,000 bottles of this Scotch to be released across different markets. It is both natural colored and non-chill filtered, and you’ll find official tasting notes for it below from Tomatin for your consideration.
