Looking for a nice handcrafted wooden chest to showcase your favorite whiskey from for decades to come? A craftsman on Etsy I stumbled across has up for sale right now what looks to be a really well crafted cherry whisky chest. He is pricing it for $300 and it is made at least in part from hardwood that’s been reclaimed.

The chest, which is 13-inches wide and 11-inches tall, has a sloping front lid that’s held in place by a little brass knob. When you open said lid it is held in an upright position via a magnet. The hinges are brass and the decorative top escutcheon for the magnet latch is walnut.

As an added bonus the crafter is including an Italian-made whisky decanter set that includes six glasses. The chest was actually built to fit around it, and the interior of the chest includes matching depressions lined with cork in the cherry wood to position four of the glasses and the decanter.

All in all this looks like a solid family heirloom style whisky chest set you’ll use for years and years.
