The Macallan Opens A High End Shop In London’s Heathrow Airport

The new The Macallan Boutique, according to those behind it, is now located in what’s described as “a a highly visible location immediately after security in Heathrow Terminal 5.” Serving as an advanced welcome of sorts to those who might be passing through this airport to catch a connecting flight up to Scotland to visit the distillery itself, the storefront is said to bring “to life the world of The Macallan through a prestige retail experience.”

Perhaps what will be most front and center to those who stop in this store, which is being done in partnership with travel retail outfit Dufry, is a “carefully curated range of rare whiskies, some of which are exclusive to The Macallan Boutiques. Highlights of the prestige collection will include expressions from itsFine and Rare Collection, The Macallan 72 Years Old in Lalique – The Genesis Decanter, the new Macallan Boutique Collection, The Macallan Folio 5 and expressions from The Macallan Exceptional Single Cask collection.”
