Scotland’s Isle of Arran distillery, like many others in its market segment, maintains an official fan club to keep connected with its most regular supporters. Known as the White Stag, this particular fan base is about to be rewarded for its loyalty by having access to a special limited whisky picked by a panel of their peers.
Known The Arran Malt White Stag First Release, it is an 18 year old expression drawn from a single cask, specifically Sherry Hogshead 97/737. It was chosen by a 10 member panel of White Stag fans this past January in Glasgow, Scotland, where they gathered without input from the distillery team to make their selection from among five cask samples.
