The new Royal Salute 28 Year Old Kew Palace Edition, according to those behind it, ties the blending background of Royal Salute’s Director of Blending, Sandy Hyslop, with the scents driven knowledge of perfumer Barnabé Fillion. The two worked together in nosing a lot of whiskies to come up with the final blend, said to “capture their interpretation of the lush flora of the Kitchen Garden.” This garden is part of the Kew Palace, a historic British palace this whisky pays homage to that’s managed by a private charity Royal Salute is known to support.
As with the previous release, this bottling is presented in a special container. This time around it is a set once again, consisting of a bespoke green porcelain flagon and flask, alongside a pouring funnel and wooden serving tray. The 28 year old is bottled at 40% ABV.
