New releases in the American whiskey and bourbon categories include a Limousin finish from Garrison Brothers, a new batch from Booker’s, and a triple blend from 15 STARS.
Garrison Brothers Laguna Madre 2024
Garrison Brothers has released its oldest and rarest-ever expression: the Laguna Madre 2024. This is the fourth batch of Laguna Madre to be released, the first being in 2020 to raise funds for Team Rubicon, a nonprofit specializing in disaster response. The organization rallied around the local community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Four years later, the Laguna Madre is back. This time, it has been aged for eight years: four years in virgin white oak casks, and four years in rare Limousin oak casks from the forests of central France.
Bottled at 101 proof, the tasting notes feature: “root beer, vanilla bean, hazelnut, saltwater taffy, chocolate gems and an “adults only” candy bar finish.”
Garrison Brothers’ Master Distiller, Donnis Todd, said: “This year’s release, enjoyed correctly and respected, is as spectacular and unique as the Laguna Madre Bay.”
Laguna Madre Bay is a lagoon located on the Gulf of Mexico. At a cumulative length of 130 miles, the lagoon is a Texas landmark, befitting a bottle of whiskey from an all-Texas distillery.
Garrison Brothers Laguna Madre 2024 was released in limited quantities (1,000 bottles) to fans at the distillery on July 20th. The remaining bottles, of which there are 2,000, will be available at selected bars, retailers, and restaurants from the start of August. The whisky has an RRP of $349.

Booker’s “The Beam House Batch”
Booker’s second batch of 2024 is here! Named after the home of Fred Noe’s family, the bourbon is inspired by the traditions and memories of the famous Noe family, who have been distilling for generations.
The Beam House Batch bourbon was aged for 7 years, 2 months, and 22 days and bottled at 124.6 proof. Carefully selecting and blending a limited quantity of barrels for the batch, Fred Noe chose barrels from different levels of the rickhouse:
- 14% came from the 5th floor of 7-story warehouse Z
- 28% came from the 4th floor of 7-story warehouse 3
- 19% came from the 5th floor of 7-story warehouse Q
- 25% came from the 7th floor of 9-story warehouse H
As such, each barrel was subjected to varying temperatures, and none of them matured in exactly the same way. Therefore, the blending of these aged barrels has resulted in a deep and complex liquid. The tasting notes include vanilla and dried fruits with a sweet yet spicy finish.
Speaking about the bourbon inspired by his family home, Fred Noe said: “We’ve always spent a lot of time here together, whether it’s for Sunday dinners, drinking bourbon on the porch, or doing tastings for batches of Booker’s. Back when I lived next door, I used to walk across the yard with samples from the plant so Dad and whoever else was lucky enough to be there could gather round the kitchen table and taste them over some barbecue.
“Booker loved to entertain and always wanted to bring people through the house. Lord knows how many people have been here over the years; friends, neighbors, business partners, employees. Everyone’s welcome. Dad loved when people would stop by and come on out back for a drink, and now it’s a tradition I’m proud to carry on.
“In this batch, I’ve tried to capture some of the joyful memories I’ve made in the Beam House for you to enjoy at yours.”
Booker’s “The Beam House” is available in limited quantities nationwide with an RRP of $99.99.
15 STARS Three Kings Fine-Aged Whiskey
15 STARS has released a new limited edition whiskey, comprising a blend of wheat, rye, and bourbon whiskeys aged between 11 and 15 years. Three Kings, bottled at 107 proof, is the first such triple blend, perhaps from any American whiskey brand.
Ricky Johnson, co-founder of 15 STARS, said: “We believe with the release of Three Kings that this is the first time someone has ever crafted a blend like this—balancing these three whiskeys, wheat, rye, and bourbon together. The Three Kings expression truly exemplifies what we strive to accomplish as a brand—always innovating and thinking out of the box to create the very best tasting whiskey we can for enthusiasts across the country.”
According to a brand press release, the tasting notes for the 15 STARS Three Kings are as follows:
“Nose: An indulgent mix of baking spice and ripe fruit, including peach pie, allspice, fig, cherry, plum, and apricot. The rye whiskey portion of the blend reveals itself with a hint of ground pepper.
Palate: The palate opens with the rich sweetness of persimmon pudding and candied fruit, balanced by the delicate essence of pear and honey. Vanilla and nutmeg add to the depth, while toasted oak emerges gradually.
Finish: An initial surge of dark fruit and honey gives way to deeper notes of cocoa bean and seasoned oak that remain long after the sip.”
The 15 STARS Three Kings Fine-Aged Whiskey is available via select retailers and via 15 STARS’ website for an RRP of $179.
In addition to the Three Kings, 15 STARS has also re-released the Timeless Reserve. The distillery’s inaugural expression was first released in 2022. Now with an updated 13-year age statement, the bourbon is back and better than ever. The 15 STARS 13 Year Old Timeless Reserve is also available via the 15 STARS website for an RRP of $279.
